Utah is a wonderland of incredibly rugged scenic beauty. Arches, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon, and Zion parks are known as the Utah Mighty 5. Highway 12 meandering between the parks take you through Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, where Calf Creek, Calf Creek Falls and Hell’s Backbone entice you with fabulous views. Cedar Breaks is a natural amphitheater, 3 miles across and more than 2000 feet deep. The elevation of the rim of the amphitheater is over 10,000 feet above sea level. In Summer, the Breaks are covered with wildflowers. The Bristle Cone Pines, the oldest living organism may also be found here twisted from the winds over eons of time.
